How great is this, Glee fans? Idina Menzel is in negotiations to guest star as a Glee club coach. So, Menzel won’t be cast as Rachel’s mom, but nonetheless she’s joining the show for a short stint!
If everything pushes through, Menzel will be the fifth Broadway star to appear on the show. Victor Garber, Debra Monk and Kristin Chenoweth have made guest appearances, and Michele's Spring Awakening co-star Jonathan Groff .
And it's not a one-off guest stint either -- Menzel has signed on for the remaining nine episodes, airing this spring on FOX starting in April. Woo hoo!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Idina Menzel will play rival Glee club coach for Vocal Adrenaline.
"Glee" wraps the first half of season one Wednesday night on FOX with "Sectionals."
